Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician to serve as the Deputy Chief of Staff for our healthcare system. As a key member of our senior management team, you will provide clinical leadership and guidance to our clinical operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the achievement of our facility's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and guidance to our clinical operations, including the coordination and delivery of high-quality patient care, maximizing budgetary and operational efficiency, and ensuring policy and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in the administration and oversight of clinical, educational, and research programs, working closely with the Chief of Staff and Director to achieve our facility's mission and goals.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the Chief of Staff and Director on clinical issues, providing expert guidance and recommendations to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to establish policies and procedures that ensure all healthcare professionals practice within the scope of their licenses.
  • Chair the Professional Standards Board, Medical Executive Council, and Peer Review Committees, ensuring adherence to our bylaws and rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Must be a physician with a Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree, with a current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Must be proficient in spoken and written English.
Preferred Experience

Service line or hospital senior-level experience is preferred, with a strong background in clinical leadership and operations management.
