The Deputy Chief of Staff position is a key leadership role within the Veterans Health Administration, reporting directly to the Chief of Staff. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the performance improvement initiatives, supervising Occupational Health, Credentialing & Privileging, and several assigned clinical service lines, as well as organization redesign and systems improvement. This role requires strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve the organization's goals.
Key Responsibilities- Assure system-wide education and deployment of performance improvement methodologies
- Utilize data analytics to inform strategic and operative planning
- Coordinate institutional compliance with external accrediting organizations
- Plan and execute clinical application development to meet patient care needs
- Provide leadership and backup to the Chief of Staff in areas applicable to the medical staff
- United States Citizenship
- Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery
- Residency training in an accredited core specialty training program
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
