Job Title: Project Manager

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Project Manager to drive the construction and design of innovative retail real estate projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise at a strategic level at the project conception stage, providing advice on different approaches to successfully achieve client objectives.
  • Project planning, including producing detailed project plans.
  • Interfacing with clients, stakeholders, and teammates at all project stages.
  • Financial management, ensuring prompt client invoicing and monitoring project financial status.
  • Leading and facilitating cross-functional project teams.
  • Monitoring and applying performance management techniques.
  • Managing change control processes.
  • Managing project information flow between teams and clients through regular meetings and written communications.
  • Preparing formal project budget progress and other reports.
  • Quality Control, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Working on proposals for new work or variations for existing projects.
  • Knowledge management, ensuring key information and learning generated from each commission is inputted into internal databases and shared.
  • Establishing effective project governance, processes, and systems.
  • Assisting in research related to construction market conditions, including analysis of official published data.
  • Process improvement, identifying and acting upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.
  • Identifying and ensuring that the appropriate line manager is aware of quality, safety, health, and environment issues.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates, and products.
  • Assisting in developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.
Requirements:
  • Projects managed to the right quality standards and completed efficiently and on time.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency who can take the initiative and drive activities with limited supervision.
  • Strong relationships developed with clients and cross-functional team members.
  • Ability to work as an effective team member within the context of delivering a specific commission.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and work stream managers.
  • Ability to be highly effective in a client-facing role.
  • University degree and PMP certification, preferably in a field related to construction.
  • Experience working on fast-paced retail construction projects.
  • Consultancy experience is beneficial.
