LVI Associates is a well-established general contractor in Ohio, recognized for delivering high-quality large-scale heavy civil construction projects. Their extensive portfolio includes highways, bridges, excavation, site work, and utilities. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager / Estimator to join their team and contribute to the successful execution and estimation of major projects.

Job Description:

The client is looking for a Project Manager / Estimator with a robust background in heavy civil construction to manage projects from inception to completion and provide accurate cost estimates. The ideal candidate will have significant experience with projects over $20 million, including those involving the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT).

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage heavy civil construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.

Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for large heavy civil projects.

Coordinate and liaise with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental policies, and all relevant legal requirements.

Prepare detailed project and estimation reports and present updates to senior management.

Foster a collaborative team environment, promoting excellence and accountability.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience managing and estimating large heavy civil construction projects, preferably over $5 million.

Extensive experience with ODOT projects is highly desirable.

Strong background in heavy highway, bridge construction, excavation, sitework, and utility projects.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in project management and estimation software and tools.

Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
