Key Responsibilities
The Infusion Nurse plays a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of our patients by providing professional nursing care.
- Complies with established policies and procedures related to infusion nursing, pharmacy services, and relevant state regulations.
- Follows the standards of practice set forth by professional organizations and adheres to ethical guidelines as defined by the nursing profession.
- Collaborates with pharmacy personnel, physicians, and patients to establish and monitor therapeutic goals.
- Conducts thorough assessments of assigned patients and develops a comprehensive Plan of Care.
- Manages vascular access devices, including the insertion of peripheral infusion devices or peripherally inserted central catheters, if certified.
- Provides education to patients and their caregivers regarding treatment plans.
- Monitors patient progress towards goals and recommends adjustments to the Plan of Care as necessary.
- Coordinates nursing care with home health services and other community resources as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred.
- Possession of a valid nursing license in the state(s) of practice.
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
- Experience in infusion therapy and home health care is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in IV therapy is advantageous.
- Current CPR certification is mandatory.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
- A valid driver's license and auto insurance are required.
- Must meet company standards for driving record and age requirements.
