We are seeking a highly skilled QC Analytical Supervisor to join our team at BestCo. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for supervising and mentoring a team of laboratory analysts, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback, and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.

  • Oversee all analytical testing activities within assigned team, ensuring adherence to established protocols, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct routine testing of RM, FP, IP using wet-chemistry and instrumental analysis techniques, and review and approve analytical data, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, etc.), troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate repairs.
  • Ensure proper documentation of instrument usage and maintenance, investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and deviations, and identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, ensure accurate and complete record-keeping, and review and approve laboratory notebooks, reports, and certificates of analysis.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, analyze trends in laboratory data to identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry along with at least 5 years of experience in Analytical testing within the pharmaceutical industry, or a Master's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Analytical testing within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of cGMP, GLP, and laboratory compliance, excellent communication skills and attention to detail, and ability to lead others and work with management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, and strong technical writing skills and the ability to create technical documentation.
  • Ability to interpret and apply Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) regulations, and strong analytical, decision-making, technical, organizational, planning, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep understanding of chemical analysis and concepts, experience with HPLC, GC, FAA, FTIR, and compendia analytical chemistry testing, and familiarity with LIMS EM modules.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data trending, and ability to analyze trends in laboratory data to identify areas for improvement.
