We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement & Fleet Team at Services For The Underserved, Inc. The selected candidate will be responsible for identifying and procuring quality goods and services for the company at the most competitive rates.
Key Responsibilities- Negotiate terms with suppliers, including price, quality of goods, deadlines, and expectations.
- Identify suppliers of goods and services and assist in communication with businesses regarding new supplier agreements.
- Liaise with suppliers and requisitioners regarding updates and details of goods.
- Help coordinate and filter supplier meetings and schedules with key stakeholders.
- Work with various functions to assist with the roll-out of procurement standard operating procedures and procurement compliance.
- Analyze invoices to ensure accuracy of goods delivered and identify potential errors.
- Create Purchase Orders and assist the Fleet Department as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred.
- 3 years' experience in a relevant field or internship experience.
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Awareness of Procure to Pay systems, processes, and associated ERPs (Bellwether/EPMX) preferred.
- Furniture procurement knowledge and ability to work with sizes/dimensions.
- NY/NJ/CT valid driver license preferred.
