Job Title: Service Center Manager

Join General Dynamics as a Service Center Manager and take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership and project management skills. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating various aspects of a Service Center visit, ensuring the safety of personnel, quality of work performed, and overall project/schedule management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects and assign work through team leads, ensuring timely completion and quality of work.
  • Supervise a continuous safety/security program, including operation of support equipment, aircraft systems, and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Establish a safety and quality culture that represents the Gulfstream brand.
  • Manage and mentor subordinate personnel, establish employee development and training plans, and communicate performance expectations.
  • Pre-plan, develop, and maintain schedules through aircraft delivery and follow-up, ensuring customer outdates are met.
  • Manage workflow to ensure that customer outdates are met, facilitate status meetings with all departments and shops, and update daily reports on status of aircraft.
  • Work with the Service Center Coordinator to communicate updates and project plans with the customer and ensure all their concerns are addressed.
  • Lead by example, ensuring established procedures are followed by subordinates, and monitor and control costs, expenses, and other resources to ensure financial performance.
Requirements:
  • An A&P certificate and an additional four (4) years of related aircraft experience may offset the Bachelor's degree.
  • Must have demonstrated leadership, strong communication skills, and the ability to successfully manage P&L.
  • Must be computer literate, with proficiency in MS Word and Excel required, and proficiency in MS Project preferred.
