Contract Administrator III

About the Role:
Serves as a key resource for Revenue Cycle Management, Compliance, and other business and/or clinical units at Carilion Clinic. Communicates effectively with outside payers and internal management staff to maintain operational knowledge of contractual agreements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing comprehensive financial analysis to aid decision-making processes, including cost-benefit analysis, revenue forecasting, and budget variance analysis.
- Interpreting complex data sets and extracting actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Utilizing analytical skills to evaluate and compare contract terms and potential impact.
- Managing contract performance and supporting the development and implementation of value-based contract relationships in support of business strategies.
- Providing leadership within the contract administrative team and contributing to performance appraisals.
- Assisting with new-employee orientation and providing guidance to coworkers on contracting area of specialty.
- Leading and supporting proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and administration of complex contracts.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or health administration required. Minimum of 4 years direct contracting experience. Strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and a working knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration.
