Position Overview:

The Pharmacy Buyer/Tech acts as a key resource and functional leader in drug procurement operations. This role is responsible for ensuring an adequate supply of medications to meet patient care requirements. The position involves monitoring and reporting on drug shortages and identifying alternative products.

Additionally, the role encompasses standard pharmacy technician responsibilities, including the preparation, billing, repackaging, delivery, inventory management, ordering, and receipt of medications under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.

Educational Requirements:

A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Required Licensure:

NCBOP Pharmacy Technician Registration is essential.

Required Certification:

Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) is necessary.
