Job Summary

We're seeking a detail-oriented and organized Housekeeping Associate to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for cleaning rooms and facilities, adhering to payroll and key sign-out procedures, and maintaining the cleanliness of all linen closets and emptying trash. You'll work well with other staff members, following a definite cleaning schedule to ensure efficient work. You'll also be responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies to housekeeping and ensuring all bathrooms and beds are cleaned in rooms.

Responsibilities

• Clean mirrors, furniture, ash urns, elevators, and doors
• Inventory and maintain the cleanliness of all linen closets and empty trash
• Work well with other staff members by planning and following a definite cleaning schedule
• Follow instructions and training given by supervisor
• Report any maintenance deficiencies to housekeeping
• Ensure all bathrooms and beds are cleaned in rooms
• Vacuum all rooms every day
• Clean cart when finished for the day and stock up for the next day of work
• Employ proper use and maintenance of all equipment and supplies
• Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation
• Complete any project assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of Housekeeping

Requirements

• Prior hotel experience preferred
• Must adhere to practices of occupational safety and health, including wearing personal protective equipment when required
• Physical demands include standing, squatting, walking, climbing stairs, extending arms, bending, and stooping to reach materials
