Job Summary

Amergis is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a variety of clinic environments in Tacoma or Federal Way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient health status and identify areas for improvement to reduce health risks.
  • Prioritize patient care requirements and develop effective plans to address them.
  • Provide a safe and comfortable patient environment, ensuring the highest level of care and comfort.
  • Initiate patient and family education to promote healthy behaviors and outcomes.
  • Document patient responses to care and interventions, as well as follow-up recommendations.
  • Monitor the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment, ensuring compliance with universal precautions and protocols.
  • Administer vaccines and medications as per site protocols, and handle and dispose of biological waste properly.
  • Complete participant consent forms and clinic records, and input information into client databases as required.
Requirements
  • Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
  • One year experience as a nurse in a clinic or immunization setting, preferred.
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program, when applicable.
  • Current CPR certification, if applicable.
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray, if applicable.
  • Current Health certificate, per contract or state regulation.
  • Meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Successful completion of new hire training, as applicable to the job site.
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, supervisors, and colleagues.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
