About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Construction Builder to join our team at LIT Workshop in Portland, OR. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality projects while ensuring adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Select and utilize the most suitable tools and equipment to build panels, parts, and assemblies.
  • Apply advanced woodworking skills to create and assemble structures and components.
  • Perform a range of construction tasks, including running conduit, rough plumbing, and flooring installation.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot minor electrical issues to ensure all systems are functioning correctly.
  • Assemble mechanical components with precision and attention to detail.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide construction efforts.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers, to ensure accurate measurements and quality control.
  • Operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Use band saws and belt sanders to shape and finish materials as required.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in construction, with a focus on woodworking and home construction.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and mechanical assembly experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Experience using precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Valid forklift operator certification is preferred.
  • Ability to operate band saws, belt sanders, and other construction tools safely.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.
