About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Energy and Utilities Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work on various energy and utility projects including oil & gas pipelines, facilities, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support as part of an engineering team on projects reporting directly to Farnsworth's project manager.
  • Project management on small/simple projects as a representative reporting directly to the Owner's project manager.
  • Project development - provide technical and design support for the development of projects (conceptual through final design and as-built projects).
  • Project coordination with various project team stakeholders including but not limited to client representatives, internal departments (i.e. survey, structural, electrical, etc.), subcontractors, subconsultants, and other Energy and Utility team members
  • Observe construction at field locations to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
  • 0-5 years of experience in oil, gas, or similar utility industry.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification a plus.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office – Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel and have a valid driver's license.

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, we also offer opportunities for professional growth and development.
