Job Summary

This entry-level management position focuses on supporting the day-to-day activities of Rooms Operations, including Housekeeping, Recreation, Laundry, Staff, AYS, and Concierge/Guest Services. The successful candidate will assist in working with employees to carry out guest arrival and departure procedures and maintain the property's cleanliness standards.

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with a high school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in guest services, front desk, housekeeping, or a related field. Alternatively, a 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major with 1 year of experience in the same field is also acceptable.

Core Work Activities
  • Support the management of Rooms Operations activities, including opening and closing Front Desk shifts, reviewing critical information in room operations reports, and understanding the functions of various departments.
  • Operate department equipment, report malfunctions, and ensure employees have the necessary supplies and uniforms.
  • Understand night audit procedures, comprehend and utilize reports as necessary, and comply with loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Communicate performance expectations to employees, handle employee questions and concerns, and effectively schedule employees to meet business demands.
Contributing to Budget Management
  • Supervise same-day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and property occupancy.
  • Verify accuracy of room rates to maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Use budgets, operating statements, and payroll progress reports to assist in managing Room Operations.
  • Participate in managing departmental controllable expenses to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
Providing Exceptional Guest Experience
  • Assist in investigating employee and guest accidents.
  • Use a guest information tracking system to ensure a successful repeat guest recognition program.
  • Set a positive example for guest relations, interact with guests to obtain feedback, and effectively respond to and handle guest problems and complaints.
