Corporate Counsel for Energy Contracts and Transactions

Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Corporate Counsel to join our team in [estimated salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year]. This role will play a pivotal part in drafting, negotiating, and finalizing complex commercial agreements that support our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic advice on complex commercial contracts and transactions;
- Analyze and structure various types of customary and innovative transactions;
- Communicate relevant legal implications to colleagues and external stakeholders;
- Negotiate commercial agreements with diverse counterparties within and beyond the energy industry;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential issues and risks throughout contract development and negotiation;
- Manage competing priorities, drive multiple projects simultaneously, and resolve business and legal issues effectively;
- A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school;
- An active Bar License in any US jurisdiction;
- 4+ years of experience in in-house counsel, preferably with large companies in the area of legal contracts;
- Excellent communication, drafting, and problem-solving skills;
- Proficiency in DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Office Suite, and comparison software platforms such as Litera Compare;
