The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive in-house legal services for eXp Realty. Key areas of focus include:

Litigation Management
  • Managing litigation cases, including collaborating with outside counsel.
  • Developing effective litigation strategies.
  • Determining settlement values.

In addition to litigation management, the successful candidate will provide advice on various legal matters, including real estate transactions and operations. They will also facilitate compliance with regulatory requirements and respond to or assist in responding to regulatory complaints.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Juris Doctorate from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association.
  • Admission to at least one state bar and currently in good standing.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a practicing litigation attorney, preferably with a regional or national law firm before transitioning to an in-house position.
  • Proven track record of managing high caseloads with competing priorities.
  • In-court experience and representation of clients in mediation.
  • Familiarity with electronic discovery, including systems for preservation, collection, review, and production of ESI in litigation.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. The ability to operate with a high case volume, efficiently shift attention between lower-value and higher-value matters, and make recommendations based on client goals and cost requirements is essential.
