Position Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Survey Director to lead our survey management team and oversee business development and project management for clients and projects within their geographic area. As a key member of our team, you'll set goals, monitor work, and evaluate results to ensure departmental and organizational objectives are met.

Responsibilities
  • Generate revenue through business development opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Prepare and submit proposals for new or additional projects.
  • Provide input on other regions/service line proposals.
  • Execute new project/new employees on project and per contract/WO's/AO's scope of work dictates.
  • Ensure executed contracts/WO's/AO's are in place for work to begin.
  • Maintain contact with TRC employees working on TRC projects.
  • Provide input for reports (Weekly, Project Budgets, Project Reviews, etc.).
  • Serve as the unifying agent accomplishing direction, coordination, and control of the overall project in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.
  • Manage and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to project personnel that impact the long-term success of the company.
  • Budget responsibility for their region.
  • Determine requirements for responding to RFP/RFI, complete and submit on a timely basis utilizing necessary resources.
  • As issues/problems arise, responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and implementing/recommending appropriate action steps.
Qualifications

We're looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in survey management and leadership. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Professional Land Survey License in California.
  • 7-10 years' experience in increasingly responsible management positions.
  • Previous team management and supervision experience.
  • Experience in growth-oriented sales/marketing.
  • Experience in the Energy industry.
