We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Institutional Research and Data Analytics to join our team at Delta College. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive institutional research agenda aligned with the college's strategic goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement Institutional Research Agenda: Collaborate with college leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive institutional research agenda that aligns with Delta College's strategic goals and objectives.
- Promote Data Literacy: Promote data literacy across the college community through training workshops, seminars, and resources.
- Collect and Analyze Institutional Data: Collect, compile, and/or coordinate the timely collection of appropriate and accurate institutional data to fulfill state and federal reporting requirements.
- Disaggregate Data by Student Demographics: Lead efforts to disaggregate data by student demographics to identify and eliminate opportunity gaps.
- Serve as Data Liaison: Serve as the primary data liaison with the State of Michigan.
- Provide Data-Driven Insights: Identify, gather, analyze, and organize institutional data to provide accurate and timely information for evaluating institutional effectiveness.
- Support Faculty and Staff: Provide assistance to faculty and staff in identifying appropriate data collection to enhance student success.
- Facilitate Survey Process: Work collaboratively with the Survey Specialist to facilitate the survey process, analyze the data, and communicate results.
- Conduct Institutional Research: Coordinate or conduct other institutional research to enhance the planning and decision-making processes of the College.
- Collaborate on Initiatives: Collaborate on initiatives such as the Data Cookbook and data governance.
- Communicate Results: Coordinate responses to ad hoc requests across campus and effectively communicate results.
- Master's Degree: Master's degree in Institutional Research, Statistics, Data Science, Education, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in institutional research, data analytics, or a related field, preferably in higher education.
- Data Literacy: Strong understanding of data literacy principles and best practices.
- Disaggregating Data: Experience with disaggregating data to identify and address opportunity gaps and promote equity.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
