Job Title: Sr Mechanical Engineer PE

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Mechanical Engineer PE to join our team at KLM Careers. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and equipment for our heavy industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop specifications for mechanical equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Design and develop materials handling conveyor systems, crushing and screening systems, dust collection control systems, chute duct piping systems, and equipment layouts.
  • Participate in capital cost estimates, calculating capacities, weights, and developing quantity takeoff.
  • Develop conceptual through final designs and prepare calculations to verify workability of mechanical details, using CAD and 3D modeling software.
  • Prepare project flow sheets and conduct feasibility studies, creating reports to support project decisions.
  • Coordinate with vendors and multidisciplinary team members to ensure successful project execution.
  • Ensure attention to detail and accuracy in all work products, with strong communication skills to coordinate work with other disciplines.
Requirements:
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering, M.S. preferred.
  • 10-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on heavy industrial projects.
  • Active P.E. licensure.
  • Background experience in minerals, cement, and/or lime.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and strong experience in materials handling.
  • Experience in leading projects and wet and dry grinding systems.
