Senior RF Mechanical Engineer Job Description

At Raytheon Careers, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior RF Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Tucson, AZ. As a key member of our RF Mechanical Team, you will be responsible for providing innovative design solutions for the packaging of antennas, RF Circuit Card Assemblies, radomes, and RF test equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead diverse multidiscipline teams to deliver complex RF mechanical engineering projects
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improvement
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in RF mechanical engineering, with a focus on design and analysis
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with Creo Simulate or ANSYS Workbench for preliminary structural and thermal analysis
  • Knowledge of RF Printed Circuit Board (PCB) material stack ups and Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) layout
  • Experience with technical proposal development and presentation

We offer a competitive salary range of $77,000 - $163,000, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) match.
