Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Summary

J. Bradford & Associates, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for heavy industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop specifications for mechanical equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop conceptual through final designs, including materials handling, conveyor systems, crushing and screening systems, dust collection, control systems, chute, duct, piping systems, and equipment layouts.
  • Prepare capital cost estimates, including capacity calculations, weights, and quantity take-off.
  • Develop project flow sheets, conduct feasibility studies, and create reports to support project decisions.
  • Coordinate with vendors and multidisciplinary team members to ensure successful project execution.
  • Utilize CAD and 3D modeling software, such as Revit, to produce accurate construction drawings.
  • Ensure attention to detail and accuracy in all work products.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk's Revit, AutoCAD, Solidworks, or Inventor is required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.
  • Experience with software such as Belt Analyst, Bulk Flow Analyst, Aggflow, Pipeflow, and Caesar II is preferred.

Requirements:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering; M.S. preferred.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on heavy industrial applications.
  • Active P.E. licensure is required.
  • Background experience in minerals, cement, and/or lime is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and strong experience in materials handling are essential.
  • Self-starter personality with strong leadership skills and experience in leading projects.
