This position is responsible for Contract Administration of CEI work for FDOT projects. The Contract Support Specialist will perform basic contract administration functions for civil transportation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing).
- Ability to analyze contract quantities to prevent overruns and underruns.
- Ability to become proficient in Trimble Business Center - Heavy Construction Edition (HCE) or approved surface to surface comparison software and Engineering Menu.
- Understand which surfaces are needed from the designer.
- Understand the survey data from the field.
- Prepare the survey data as needed for use in the software.
- Generate accurate earthwork quantities from the software.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- For personnel with engineering, engineering technology, and construction management degrees:
- No prior experience is required.
- For personnel without engineering, engineering technology or construction management degrees:
- Four (4) years of CEI experience having performed/assisted in project related duties.
- Two (2) years of experience with 3D Modeling and CADD.
- CTQP Final Estimates Level II required.
- A valid Driver's License is required with a safe driving record and must complete a pre-employment screening.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
This position requires minimal lifting of up to 50 pounds sometimes on a frequent basis.
The employee must be able to travel and tour work sites under adverse environmental conditions.
The employee must be able to visually examine construction materials and finished structures and work in various types of weather and field conditions.
