Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Head Start Teacher to join our team at Children and Families First Delaware Inc. As an Early Head Start Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and care to infants and toddlers, promoting their cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement daily lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and interests of each child.
  • Collaborate with co-teachers and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide individualized attention and support to children, addressing their physical, emotional, and cognitive needs.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, keeping them informed about their child's progress and involving them in the educational process.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field preferred.
  • Infant/Toddler CDA with at least 120 training hours in Infant/Toddler content plus at least 480 hours of experience working with infant and toddlers.
  • Bilingual (desirable).
  • Understanding of infant-toddler development and age-appropriate expectations for pro-social behaviors.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy skills, using MS Office applications and other basic data systems.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification required.
