Job SummaryCrowell & Moring LLP is seeking a highly qualified Associate to join its Government Contracts practice group, working specifically with the cost accounting advisory and litigation area of the practice, from its Washington, DC office.
Key Responsibilities- Counsel clients on compliance with FAR Part 31 and Cost Accounting Standards, including in connection with responses to DCAA/DCMA audit reports and notices of potential CAS noncompliance.
- Pre-COFD dispute resolution of cost accounting matters.
- Representation of contractors in appeals at the ASBCA, CBCA, and/or Court of Federal Claims involving cost accounting disputes, including experience drafting initial pleadings, discovery requests, and motions.
- Providing advice and assistance with requests for equitable adjustment/contractor claims.
- Advice/counseling on compliance with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act and representation in defective pricing investigations/claims.
- 3 to 4 years of direct experience handling government contract cost accounting and pricing matters.
- Excellent academic credentials.
- Highly developed critical thinking and analytical skills.
- Strong written advocacy and oral communication skills.
- Ability to deliver timely and high-quality written work product in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
- Member of the D.C. Bar or eligible to waive-in.
