About the Position

The Johns Hopkins Center for Gun Violence Solutions is a pioneering initiative in the field of public health advocacy and science. We are seeking a highly skilled Research Program Manager to provide extensive research support, coordination, and day-to-day oversight for multiple gun violence prevention studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate multiple foundation-funded research projects for multiple Principal Investigators (PIs), ensuring timely completion of project goals and milestones.
  • Collaborate with the finance team and Director of Operations to manage budgets and spending, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain accurate project timelines, grant reports, and data collection forms.
  • Oversee the acquisition and management of large administrative data, ensuring data integrity and compliance with security policies.
  • Prepare material for data use agreements and participate in meetings to provide operational updates and report on any operational issues.
  • Coordinate meetings, develop agendas, and facilitate participation from other institutions and universities.
  • Manage databases, shared files, and email listservs, ensuring efficient communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Study coordination, including hiring and supervision of graduate students and research assistants/coordinators, and assisting investigators with recruitment protocols.
  • Review resumes for candidate selections, set up interviews, and make recommendations for RA and staff hiring.
  • Manage student research assistants, assist in the preparation of materials for IRB, and participate in developing study budgets.
  • Recommend changes to protocol operations based on results and goals, and assist in drafting technical and progress/final reports to the funder.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline; related Master's preferred.
  • Five years of related experience, including demonstrated supervisory or lead responsibilities.
  • Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree, experience working in gun violence prevention or community violence intervention.
