The Insurance Coordinator plays a vital role in enhancing the patient experience by ensuring accurate insurance verification and providing support to patients, staff, and healthcare providers. If you enjoy building connections and fostering relationships, this position is ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients as they arrive.
- Collect and verify paperwork and insurance details, ensuring accuracy before entering into the system.
- Update patient statuses in the database according to established protocols.
- Address routine inquiries via phone regarding appointments, policies, insurance, and treatments, while updating system notes as necessary.
- Conduct insurance verifications and frequency checks as required.
- Review upcoming schedules to confirm patient appointments and ensure all necessary preparations are made.
- Confirm appointments the day prior and on the day of, and assist with rescheduling as needed.
- Provide backup support to the Greeter during their absence.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front office and lobby area.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer service experience is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
