Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Pain Specialist of America LLC. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based anesthesia and pain care services to patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and document preanesthesia assessments and evaluations of patients.
  • Review, request, and order laboratory and diagnostic studies as permitted by state law.
  • Obtain informed consent for anesthesia and related services.
  • Select, obtain, order, and administer preanesthetic medication or treatment.
  • Develop and implement anesthesia care plans.
  • Perform all levels of sedation from general to moderate sedation.
  • Monitor patient responses and select, order, and administer medications, fluids, and ventilator support to maintain patient stability during transfer.
  • Initiate and administer post-anesthesia pharmacological or fluid support of the cardiovascular system.
  • Initiate and administer respiratory support to ensure adequate ventilation and oxygenation in the postanesthesia period.
  • Evaluate patient responses to anesthesia and surgery, taking appropriate corrective action during the postanesthesia period.
  • Provide postanesthesia follow-up evaluation and care, discharging patients from the postanesthesia care unit as necessary.
  • Manage emergency situations by assessing, stabilizing, and determining disposition of patients, including providing airway management, administration of emergency drugs and fluids, and using basic and advanced cardiac life support techniques.
Requirements
  • Current active state licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Texas and compliance with applicable state statutory and regulatory requirements concerning CRNAs.
  • Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs or its predecessor.
  • Current certification or recertification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Insurability by an appropriate medical malpractice insurer for the limits required by this institution or state.
  • Demonstrated current competency in the clinical responsibilities specified below.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification.
  • Thorough vaccination history in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Working Conditions

The CRNA will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of patient acuity. The facility is equipped with two operating rooms, five preoperative bays, and eight postoperative bays. The CRNA will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including registered nurses, radiologic technologists, operating surgeons, and scrub technicians.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is negotiable, with a mid-range salary of $240,000. The facility offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
