Job Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and proficient Vehicle Maintenance Technician to become a vital part of our organization.

In this role, you will be tasked with the upkeep and repair of a varied fleet of vehicles, encompassing cars, trucks, vans, and specialized machinery.

Your mechanical knowledge and diagnostic abilities will be essential in identifying and rectifying issues promptly, ensuring the fleet operates safely and reliably.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Conduct routine maintenance activities, such as fluid changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and inspections, to guarantee peak performance of all vehicles and equipment.

2. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using a range of diagnostic instruments and tools.

3. Perform comprehensive inspections of vehicles and equipment to detect potential problems and suggest suitable repairs or replacements.

4. Repair and replace faulty components, systems, and parts, adhering to safety regulations and manufacturer specifications.

5. Maintain precise records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts usage and labor hours.

6. Research and evaluate pricing for necessary maintenance items and parts to procure them at favorable rates.


7. Collaborate with team members, including drivers and fellow technicians, to organize repairs and prioritize work orders based on operational demands.

8. Monitor vehicle performance and conduct road tests as required to confirm repairs and identify further issues.


9. Provide prompt assistance and support for vehicle breakdowns and emergencies, both on-site and off-site, to minimize downtime and ensure fleet readiness.

10. Stay informed about industry developments and advancements in vehicle technology through ongoing education and training opportunities.

11. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and others.

12. Responsible for mentoring new employees on safety practices concerning vehicles and equipment.

13. Assist with facility and parking lot maintenance as necessary, including snow removal.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified automotive or diesel technology program is preferred.


2. Proven experience as a Vehicle Maintenance Technician or in a similar capacity, with a solid understanding of vehicle diagnostic methods and repair techniques.

3. Proficient in utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment, including scan tools, computerized systems, and specialized instruments.

4. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, along with familiarity with various vehicle makes and models.

5. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities, with the ability to accurately and efficiently diagnose complex issues.

6. Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to vehicle maintenance and repair.

7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.

8. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

9. Physical stamina and dexterity to lift heavy objects and work in diverse weather conditions.

Working Environment/Safety Requirements:
This position is based in a vehicle repair environment, with exposure to varying temperatures, primarily within a garage setting. You will encounter various chemicals and fumes associated with vehicle maintenance.

Education:

High School Diploma or GED; VO-Tech Graduate; Associate's degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent on-the-job training or Military Training.
