Facility Maintenance Specialist

OBJECTIVE:
The Facility Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring a hygienic and secure environment for all personnel and guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sanitize restrooms.
2. Clean, mop, wash, buff, and vacuum flooring surfaces.
3. Dispose of waste materials.
4. Maintain external walkways by sweeping debris and washing surfaces.
5. Polish fixtures to maintain appearance.
6. Manage recycling processes.
7. Monitor and procure maintenance supplies.
8. Clean windows to ensure visibility.
9. Dust and maintain furniture cleanliness.
10. Clean the break room, including appliances and dishware.
11. Remove snow and ice from pathways.
12. Perform general facility repairs, such as changing light bulbs and painting.
13. Ensure adherence to GMP, FDA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards as per company policy.
14. Follow company safety protocols.
15. Maintain regular attendance.
16. Undertake additional tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience in facility maintenance preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal oversight.
- Capacity to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- Familiarity with GMP regulations preferred.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Regularly required to communicate effectively.
- Frequently required to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Occasionally required to climb.
- Regularly required to kneel and stoop.
- Frequently required to bend at the waist and knees.
- Frequently required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Vision capabilities including close, distance, and color vision, along with the ability to adjust focus.
- Regularly required to work with cleaning agents and chemicals, with MSDS sheets provided.
- Occasionally required to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
