Facility Maintenance Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY: The Facility Maintenance Specialist is tasked with ensuring a hygienic and secure environment for all personnel and guests. This encompasses the thorough cleaning of all office and production areas as outlined in the key responsibilities below.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Sanitize restrooms to maintain cleanliness.
  • Wash, mop, buff, and vacuum flooring surfaces.
  • Dispose of waste materials from trash receptacles.
  • Maintain external walkways by clearing debris and washing surfaces.
  • Polish and clean fixtures to uphold standards.
  • Sort and dispose of recyclable materials appropriately.
  • Monitor and replenish maintenance supplies as needed.
  • Wash windows to ensure visibility and cleanliness.
  • Dust and maintain furniture surfaces.
  • Clean communal areas, including kitchen appliances and dishware.
  • Clear snow and ice from pathways to ensure safety.
  • Perform general repairs, such as changing light bulbs and painting.
  • Ensure adherence to GMP, FDA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards in line with company policies.
  • Follow safety protocols as established by the organization.
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • 1-2 years of experience in facility maintenance preferred.
  • Ability to work autonomously with limited oversight.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage workload effectively.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Prior experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with GMP guidelines is preferred.
  • Understanding of OSHA standards is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Regularly required to communicate verbally and audibly.
  • Frequently required to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Occasionally required to climb or reach.
  • Regularly required to kneel, stoop, and bend.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Visual acuity is necessary for close and distance tasks.
  • Regularly required to handle cleaning agents and chemicals, with safety data sheets provided.
  • Occasionally required to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

This position is based on-site at the designated facility.

WORK SCHEDULE:
  • Full-time position.
  • Standard 8-hour shifts.
  • Monday through Friday.
  • No evening or weekend shifts.
