Lodging Maintenance Specialist

Wage Range: $17/hour

Supervisory: No Supervised By: Housekeeping Lead, Supervisor & Manager

Position Summary: Responsible for the thorough cleaning and preparation of lodge rooms and condominium units to ensure guests receive clean, appealing, and secure accommodations. Attention to detail is crucial. Must be available to work most weekends and holidays.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain a polished, professional appearance, adhering to the company's dress code.
  • Clean and prepare accommodations for guest occupancy by following specified cleaning protocols.
  • Stock and organize housekeeping carts and linen closets with necessary supplies to effectively clean assigned rooms.
  • Complete the Room Attendant Daily Report, accurately indicating the status of each assigned room and reporting any maintenance issues or supply shortages.
  • Ensure guest security by keeping all doors locked at all times.

Other Responsibilities: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Lodge Lead-person, Condo Lead-person, or Housekeeping Manager. Familiarity with the facilities and activities at Schweitzer Mountain Resort is essential.

Job Specifications:

Skills: Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures.

Education: None required.

Experience: One year of work experience preferred; not mandatory.

License Needed: None.

Physical Demands: This role requires a combination of walking, standing, and kneeling for up to 8 hours per shift, with breaks provided. Lifting requirements include frequent lifting of up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting of up to 35 lbs. Frequent squatting, kneeling, and bending are necessary, with occasional reaching above shoulder level.

Machines/Tools Operated: Vacuums, extractors, cleaning chemicals, laundry machines, two-way radios, and possibly company vehicles.

Judgment/Mental Complexity: Moderate.
