Job Summary

Brooksource is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our Infrastructure and Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our hybrid IT network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Design and Implementation: Plan, design, and implement complex network solutions to meet business requirements, including remote branches, on-premises data centers, and cloud-based resources.
  • Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures to safeguard data, applications, and infrastructure, and monitor network traffic for security threats.
  • Network Optimization: Continuously optimize network performance and capacity to ensure high availability and reliability, and identify and resolve network bottlenecks and performance issues.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide multi-level support for network-related issues, and collaborate with other IT teams to diagnose and resolve complex network problems.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating processes.
  • Compliance and Best Practice: Ensure network infrastructure complies with industry best practices and relevant regulatory requirements, and stay current with emerging network technologies.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and service providers to procure and manage network-related services and equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology Management, Engineering, or other related area of study.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of infrastructure technical experience, with at least 3 years managing network infrastructure.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications within infrastructure-related areas are highly desirable.
