Role Overview:


• Responsible for the design and execution of diverse mainframe technology solutions.


• Oversee and lead maintenance operations, software releases, and significant operating system upgrades.


• Engage with clients to deliver consistent management reports and analytical insights.


• Collaborate with IBM and various Independent Software Vendors to implement effective solutions.


• Accountable for assessing, planning, installing, and sustaining the z/OS Operating System along with associated software products.


• Formulate operational standards and provide technical support to application developers and operational teams.


• Aid in the evaluation and selection of key software and hardware subsystems to enhance operational efficiency and minimize costs. Lead software upgrade and maintenance initiatives.


• Assist in Workload Management (WLM) tuning and Sysplex operations.


• Proficient in Storage and Backup management.


• Collaborate with other Mainframe Subject Matter Experts during standard working hours.


• Serve as the primary escalation point of contact across teams and vendors.
