Position Overview:

Cinemark Team Members foster a friendly atmosphere for our Guests. A Team Member is efficient, precise, and well-informed about films, special events, upcoming releases, pricing, promotions, and more. This role is dedicated to ensuring the highest standards in all services provided. Familiar with operations, this individual will address guest inquiries while delivering an outstanding guest experience. Team Members may also take on various roles such as Usher, Box Office attendant, or Concessionist as staffing needs dictate. Each Team Member must be capable of fulfilling the essential functions of these roles.

Key Responsibilities:

The primary duties and responsibilities of a Theatre Team Member include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Welcomes Guests with a friendly demeanor in a timely and professional manner
  • Utilizes Cinemark's POS system for all transactions processed at assigned registers
  • Validates tickets at the podium and guides Guests to their respective auditoriums
  • Ensures ticket sales comply with the MPAA rating system, studio entry policies, and company guidelines
  • Provides information on pricing, films, special events, alternative movie options, and general theatre details
  • Handles phone inquiries and addresses Guest questions with professionalism and quality customer service
  • Conducts theatre inspections to ensure optimal movie presentation and sound quality, monitors for film and content theft, and helps maintain a safe environment within the auditoriums
  • Maintains cleanliness throughout the theatre property (lobby, aisles, restrooms, auditoriums, exits, parking area, etc.)
  • Prepares food and operates cooking, warming, and popping equipment correctly
  • Regularly sanitizes Employee and Guest high-contact areas
  • Adheres to all local, state, and federal food safety regulations
  • Observes safety and security concerns (trip hazards, lighting, suspicious individuals, etc.) and reports to management
  • Assists with all opening and closing tasks as directed by management
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 16 years old
  • Completes basic food handling training and obtains any local or state-required certification, health card, or food handler's permit as necessary
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Regular and consistent attendance is required
  • Exhibits an energetic and friendly attitude during each shift
  • Delivers excellent Guest service
  • Possesses interpersonal skills to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with individuals of all ages, genders, and personalities. Must be able to converse in and comprehend English regularly
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently
  • Capable of taking and following directions
  • Responds promptly with a sense of urgency
  • Demonstrates accurate cash handling and basic math skills

Physical and Environmental Considerations:

  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular standing, walking, and reaching throughout the theatre.
  • Noise levels may vary from moderate to high at times.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods.
