Key Responsibilities- Provide Routine and Complex Care: Deliver high-quality patient care, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient needs.
- Develop and Implement Care Plans: Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that address physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate patient information effectively across the continuum of care, ensuring seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Manage Unit Operations: Plan, direct, and evaluate the overall nursing care and functions in the Labor and Delivery Department, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Ensure Quality and Safety: Demonstrate accountability for nursing research and quality improvement activities, promoting a culture of safety and excellence in patient care.
- Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty, preferred.
- Certifications: Current certification from NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) or one of the following AWHONN courses, within 90 days of hire.
