Job Overview:
Are you an experienced Lead Engineer with a commitment to quality and operational excellence? We are seeking a dedicated professional to enhance our engineering team and ensure the highest standards in production and support services.

Role Responsibilities:
As the Lead Engineer for Production and Support Services, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Production Support: Deliver comprehensive assistance throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Leadership: Direct and coordinate engineering support activities within the production setting.
  • Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve mechanical and electrical challenges in the supply chain and production.
  • Acceptance Testing: Manage acceptance processes through thorough range testing.
  • Failure Analysis: Assess production and range failures to determine root causes and implement corrective measures.
  • Maintenance of Designs: Act as the engineering lead for the upkeep of in-service products, addressing obsolescence and documentation needs.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary engineering contact for clients, discussing design modifications and managing technical support for product usage.
  • Ad-hoc Projects: Lead various design and trade studies as requested by clients.

Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a candidate with a solid background in engineering management and team leadership. The ideal applicant will have a deep understanding of complex engineering processes in regulated environments and substantial experience overseeing product development throughout its lifecycle.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Systems Engineering Expertise: Strong foundation in Systems Engineering with knowledge of Software Engineering principles. A background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is highly valued.
  • Project Scheduling: Proven ability to create and manage engineering schedules with clear dependencies.
  • Cost Estimation: Skilled in producing and evaluating engineering estimates, with the capability to challenge and justify them effectively.
  • Risk Management: Proficient in managing risks, assumptions, issues, decisions, and opportunities within an engineering framework.
  • Work Package Management: Experience in managing work packages is preferred.
  • Sonar Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with sonar systems is beneficial but not mandatory.
