Your Role:

The Threat Analytic Systems (QAI) Group is in search of skilled professionals who can contribute as part of a team to design, implement, test, document, and sustain software applications that deliver significant capabilities.

In this role, you will integrate software engineering best practices with cutting-edge software research to develop rapid prototypes and evolve them into robust product solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, test, and deploy software applications in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Engage with users to comprehend their operations and gather requirements effectively.
  • Lead design reviews to solicit feedback on system architecture, integration, and testing processes.
  • Document and present ongoing research and development activities.
  • Explore innovative methods to enhance task efficiency and document software strategies.
  • Foster relationships across organizational boundaries to promote collaboration.

Qualifications:

You will meet our minimum qualifications if you possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Over seven (7+) years of experience in software development with a high-level programming language, particularly Java.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Proven experience as a technical lead on software projects.
  • Experience in web development utilizing modern JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, Angular, etc.), web services, software architecture design, and deployment.
  • Comfort in working with loosely defined or high-level requirements.
  • Ability to creatively identify customer needs and apply knowledge of available methods and tools.
  • Experience with non-relational databases (MongoDB, CouchDB, HBase, etc.) focusing on query optimization, database design, and scalability.
  • Strong teamwork skills and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • An active TS/SCI level security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

You will stand out if you have:

  • A Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience in Agile software development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with information retrieval techniques.
  • Experience with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, etc.).
  • Experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) and/or Intelligence Community (IC) clients.
