Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lab Engineer to join our team in Boulder, CO. As a Lab Engineer, you will work alongside our engineers to bring up new test infrastructure for Apple Vision Pro testing. Your responsibilities will include setting up hardware equipment, deploying and maintaining software tools and packages on lab hosts, and supporting system-level testing with a focus on hardware-software integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and configure hardware equipment, including robotics fixtures
  • Deploy and maintain software tools and packages on lab hosts
  • Support system-level testing with a focus on hardware-software integration
  • Collaborate with the Cupertino team and remote China team as needed
Requirements
  • Experience with setting up hardware equipment, such as robotics fixtures
  • Excellent system-level (hardware and software) debugging skills
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages (Bash, Ansible)
Work Environment

This is a full-time position, 5 days a week, in our Boulder, CO office. You will be expected to work in the office and lab, collaborating with our team to bring up new test infrastructure.

Success Criteria
  • Write clear and detailed defect reports with all applicable logs, timestamps, screenshots, etc.
  • Perform experiments in the queue in a timely manner
  • Maintain and run robotic and other automated tests for hardware and software validation at the system level
  • Communicate effectively with the team and report all issues found during testing
