Your Responsibilities

Inspect and maintain all water-based fire sprinkler systems, including but not limited to fire pump systems and backflow preventers, encompassing repairs and internal evaluations.

How You Will Achieve This

  • This role does not involve on-call duties.
  • Inspect and maintain all water-based fire sprinkler systems, including fire pump systems and backflow preventers, along with repairs and internal evaluations.
  • Adhere to verbal and written directives, interpret and comprehend complex construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications relevant to installation tasks.
  • Transport equipment and tools weighing up to 40 pounds. Perform tasks in various positions, including climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment exceeding 40 feet.
  • Ensure a tidy and safe work environment. Properly dispose of all waste related to Johnson Controls Fire Protection operations. Utilize appropriate safety gear as required, including bump caps and safety-toed footwear.
  • Secure all Johnson Controls Fire Protection tools and equipment at the conclusion of each work period to prevent damage or loss.
  • Complete and submit time reports and other necessary documentation as required.
  • Promptly inform the dispatcher/supervisor of any changes, discrepancies, or coordination issues that may affect operations or schedules.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What We Seek

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • F2 License Required
  • Massachusetts License Required
  • Minimum of three years of industry experience.
  • Proficient understanding of all water-based fire sprinkler systems.
  • Must possess a clean driving record.
  • Current, valid US driver's license.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Willingness to work alternate shifts or weekends to fulfill customer service requirements.
  • Where legally permissible, candidates must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 by their start date unless exempt due to a valid medical condition or sincerely held religious belief.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Sprinkler and Backflow license is advantageous. Must be willing to obtain it upon hire.
  • NICET certification is preferred.
