Nursing Professional Development Specialist

At Sentara Healthcare, we are seeking a skilled Nursing Professional Development Generalist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare organization, this role assumes operational responsibility for the development and implementation of staff education within designated population(s).
Key Responsibilities:
- Functions as a learning facilitator supporting orientation, practice transitions, and continuing education for nursing staff.
- Develops and implements education programs to enhance nursing practice and patient care.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of education programs and makes recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing education or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
