Community Coordination Client Advocate

As a Community Coordination Client Advocate at Action For Boston Community Development, you will play a vital role in providing direct case management services to clients in need. Your primary responsibility will be to handle intake processes, assist clients in establishing educational and occupational goals, and develop positive working relationships with various organizations to expand placement efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management files
  • Provide supportive services and referrals to clients
  • Conduct workshops for diverse populations in specific communities
  • Assist clients in completing job applications and resumes
  • Follow up with prospective agencies and employers to maintain employment opportunities
  • Provide services for EITC tax preparation, food pantry, fuel assistance, SummerWorks, and Virtual Gateway services
Requirements:
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Up to one year of experience in case management, job development, or general office support
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds
