The Accounts Receivable Manager will be responsible for overseeing the billing, collection, and reconciliation processes for customer accounts, ensuring timely and accurate cash flow while reducing bad debts. This role includes leading and mentoring the accounts receivable team, updating policies and procedures, and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders. The manager will also track and report performance metrics related to Accounts Receivable.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Manager:
  • Manage daily operations of the accounts receivable department, including billing, cash application, credit management, and dispute resolution.
  • Analyze accounts receivable aging reports, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with company credit policies.
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly accounts receivable reports, reconciliations, and journal entries, delivering accurate financial data to management.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve accounts receivable processes, systems, and controls, aligning them with organizational goals.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of accounts receivable staff, providing necessary training and guidance.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, sales, customer service, and other departments, addressing escalated issues.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations, maintaining accurate documentation.

Requirements for the Accounts Receivable Manager:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in a managerial capacity.
  • Experience with ERP systems is required.
  • Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Office, and various data analysis tools.
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, practices, and standards, particularly in accounts receivable and revenue recognition.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, effective in collaborating with diverse teams.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills, capable of identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
