Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Manager to join our team at ATI. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental policies and strategies that promote sustainable development and minimize the ecological footprint of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement environmental strategies and action plans to ensure corporate sustainable development.
  • Lead efforts on sustainable procurement for all goods and services.
  • Coordinate all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, conservation, and renewable energy.
  • Implement environmental policies and practices and ensure compliance with environmental legislation.
  • Assess, analyze, and collate environmental performance data and report information to internal staff, clients, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure that materials, ingredients, and so forth are ethically sourced and manageable.
  • Lead training for employees on environmental matters and emergency procedures and stay up-to-date with relevant changes in environmental legislation and initiatives.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on the company's environmental performance to senior management.
  • Manage environmental strategy budgets.
  • Liaise with senior leadership to drive the company's environmental strategies forward.
  • Create measurable objectives that can be applied to evaluate the success of related programs.
  • File, or oversee the filing of required EPA reports.
  • Act as the company's representative in meetings or other interactions with compliance agencies and officials.
  • Maintain current knowledge of developments in environmental and safety fields, and changes in federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Masters' degree is an advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience in environmental services management.
  • Experience in policy and procedure development.
  • Certified Environmental Manager (CEM) or Registered Environmental Manager (REM) highly desirable.
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong knowledge of environmental policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Environmental legislation and best practices.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at a minimum) required to accomplish day-to-day work activities and willingness to learn additional programs.
  • Exceptional analytical, judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and presenting).
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and influence employees.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management and prioritization skills.
