Job Title: Director of Engineering Operations

Glenmark Pharmaceuticals USA is a leading player in the discovery of new molecules, with a strong presence in the US generics market. We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Engineering Operations to lead our mechanical and electrical engineering operations for our plant in Monroe, North Carolina.

Job Summary:

The Director of Engineering Operations will be responsible for providing technical excellence across various operational functions, including mechanical and electrical engineering, maintenance, and capital projects. This role will require strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure technical alignment and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead regional engineering standardization for Global Engineering to provide common tools for estimating, project documentation, and equipment evaluation.
  • Provide feasible process & controls, as well as associated capital estimates and timelines for new marketing initiatives.
  • Manage project activities in accordance with site procedures, ensuring compliance with cGMP and ISPE guidelines.
  • Interact with cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure proper reviews and requirements are met.
  • Develop and implement Engineering Best Practices throughout the region.
  • Oversee the E&M operations and review, ensuring adherence to good engineering practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Responsible for safety and the adherence to policies and regulations to ensure that all engineering tasks are performed in a safe manner.
Requirements:
  • Diploma / BE / B tech / Master in Mechanical engineering.
  • 15- 20 years of experience in similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Pharma machinery, process machinery and equipment (OSD, Injectable & Nebulizer) along with standard utility equipment like Boilers, compressors, HVAC system, water treatment plants.
  • Good project management skills, written communication skills, and ability to monitor the performance of manufacturing processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Computer skills (MS Word, MS Projects, AutoCAD, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint).
  • Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • Communication - Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities which fosters group commitments to goals and objectives.
