Key Responsibilities:Under the guidance of a program manager, you will conduct on-site inspections, investigate complaints and incidents, and perform comprehensive surveys to assess compliance with health and safety regulations.
You will communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide, exchange, or verify information, address inquiries, and resolve issues related to dietary services in Texas long-term care facilities, ensuring that meals cater to the specialized nutritional needs of residents.
You will lead exit conferences with facility staff to discuss findings and assist in developing corrective action plans.
You will prepare inspection or survey reports that detail deficiencies, recommend remedies, and provide narratives to support regulatory conclusions.
You will visit long-term care facilities to confirm the rectification of previously identified regulatory violations.
You will conduct quality assurance reviews of documents prepared by others, such as publications and assessments.
Occasionally, you may be required to provide testimony at hearings or court proceedings regarding policies, procedures, findings, or activities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient understanding of nutrition standards, dietary sanitation practices, and clinical skills.
Skilled in conducting nutritional assessments in clinical environments.
Ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other stakeholders.
Ability to utilize computer systems for report writing.
Ability to operate personal computers and relevant software.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations.
