Client Support Specialist

We are seeking a Client Support Specialist for a prominent specialty chemical distributor focusing on resins, monomers, additives, pigments, and performance minerals.
As a Client Support Specialist (CSS), you will play an essential role in our customer support team, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service and assistance throughout their interactions with our organization.
You will act as the primary contact for clients, addressing inquiries, processing orders, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Assistance:
- Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Respond to client inquiries through phone, email, and live chat in a prompt and professional manner.
- Provide detailed information regarding products, services, pricing, and availability.
- Assist clients in accurately and efficiently placing orders.
Order Management:
- Process sales orders, ensuring precision in pricing, quantities, and shipping information.
- Collaborate with logistics and shipping teams to guarantee timely order delivery.
- Track order status and communicate updates to clients as necessary.
Problem Resolution:
- Investigate and resolve client complaints related to product quality, delivery issues, billing discrepancies, etc.
- Work closely with other departments (such as technical support, sales, and manufacturing) to effectively address client concerns.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions using our CRM system.
- Generate reports on client inquiries, sales trends, and client satisfaction metrics.
Relationship Development:
- Establish strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and proactively addressing concerns.
- Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional products or services based on client requirements.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated experience as a Client Support Specialist or similar role, preferably within the chemical industry or a related field.
A background in chemistry or related sciences is beneficial but not mandatory.
Education:
High School Diploma
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
- Experience preparing bills of lading for warehouse shipments.
- In-office client support experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with shipping, multiple products, and freight knowledge.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
