Job Overview

Position Summary: The Pipeline Technician is responsible for the effective operation and upkeep of pipeline systems and associated facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, service, and maintain company vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Assist field technicians with various tasks including pigging and line maintenance.
  • Work in diverse environmental conditions, including extreme weather and confined spaces.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on pipelines and compressor stations, along with other assigned duties.
  • Ensure the reliability and integrity of facilities within the designated area, focusing on corrosion control and right-of-way upkeep.
  • Collaborate with technical services, regulatory bodies, emergency planning groups, and contractors.
  • Engage in public education initiatives, including presentations and community outreach.
  • Operate and maintain various equipment such as sandblasters, skid steers, and pumps.
  • Perform pipeline isolations and manage gas handling tasks, including the use of air movers and blow down silencers.
  • Conduct batch changes, meter proving, and calibration tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Physical capability to bend, stoop, lift up to 50 lbs, and manually transport loads up to 75 lbs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within teams.
  • Willingness to travel as required by work assignments.
