Position Summary
The Research Associate I (RA) is an enthusiastic laboratory scientist who plays a crucial role in various ongoing research initiatives and is an integral part of a collaborative research team. The RA is responsible for maintaining cell lines, validating antibodies for flow cytometry, and conducting flow cytometry analyses to ascertain target protein expression levels on cell surfaces, thereby aiding in the selection of cell lines for in vivo model development and lead compound identification. The RA is expected to analyze and interpret flow cytometry data and present findings during in vitro team discussions. The RA must quickly adopt and learn new methodologies to work independently at the laboratory bench.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct cell culture for both primary and recombinant cell lines.
  • Execute flow cytometry analyses to identify specific antibodies.
  • Perform antibody saturation assessments and quantitative flow cytometry.
  • Utilize specialized software for data analysis.
  • Maintain accurate electronic lab notebooks and other necessary documentation.
  • Ensure a laboratory environment that prioritizes scientific integrity and quality.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as dictated by business requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in biology or a related scientific field.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in flow cytometry and tissue culture.
  • Familiarity with software tools such as FCS Express, Excel, and PowerPoint is advantageous.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • A strong desire and aptitude for expanding knowledge and skills across a variety of techniques.

Work Environment
This position is entirely on-site; occasional weekend work may be necessary. The role may involve working with radioactive materials in a controlled laboratory setting.

Compensation & Benefits
Radionetics offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus opportunities, equity options, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, four weeks of paid time off (PTO) annually, and generous paid holidays.

Pay Range: $40.85 per hour
Radionetics evaluates various factors when determining individual pay, including relevant education, experience, skills, internal equity, the complexity and responsibility of the role, and market demand relative to the position. Geographic location may also influence salary considerations.
