Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Security and Safety Coordinator. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and security of our guests, staff, and property during the overnight hours.


As a Security and Safety Coordinator, you will play a vital role in providing peace of mind to our guests by maintaining a visible presence throughout the property.

Your responsibilities will include assisting guests with their vehicles and luggage, conducting nightly property inspections, and performing minor maintenance tasks as needed.

The working hours for this position are from 10:30 PM to 7 AM, five days a week, with potential weekend shifts.

Key Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, along with experience in hospitality or a related field.
A valid driver's license is required.
Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
Certification in CPR, First Aid, and the Heimlich maneuver is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:
Approach all interactions with guests and team members in a courteous and service-oriented manner.

Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company standards, adapting to the hotel's scheduling needs.

Uphold high standards of personal grooming and appearance, including wearing the designated uniform and name tag while on duty (as per brand guidelines).
Adhere to all company policies and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations.

Respond to phone calls and dispatch requests promptly, demonstrating proper communication etiquette at all times.

Maintain visual contact with the front desk and lobby area when not conducting property walks.

Keep a daily activity log and ensure confidentiality regarding guest and staff incidents.
Conduct briefings with Guest Services staff at the start and end of each shift.
Manage access to secured areas for authorized personnel, verifying identification as necessary.
Stay informed about local and state regulations relevant to the position.
Assist guests with room access and provide support during incidents such as thefts or accidents, collaborating with hotel leadership to document incidents accurately. Provide assistance to external agencies as required.
Offer escorts when necessary.
Support HR and management in addressing staff conflicts.
Assist guests who may be intoxicated.
Be knowledgeable about hotel security systems and guestroom locking mechanisms.
Respond to security alarms and monitor surveillance cameras (if applicable).
Approach suspicious individuals with caution.
Conduct regular rounds to identify safety hazards, check lighting, and secure doors while collecting any lost items.
Assist during medical emergencies by administering First Aid, CPR, or the Heimlich maneuver as needed.
In collaboration with hotel leadership, complete incident reports clearly and concisely.
Receive deliveries and fulfill guest requests as needed.

Support the Front Desk with express check-outs, newspaper deliveries, and transportation needs as required.

Manage lost and found items according to established protocols.
Participate in special events, attend meetings, and perform additional duties as assigned.
